Using the Password Assistant in Mac OS X

Strong passwords are difficult to guess or crack, but they can also be hard to create. Mac OS X Tiger has a feature, Password Assistant, that helps you create secure passwords. You can use it whenever you create a new user account or change the password for an existing account. To use it:

  1. Double-click the System Preferences icon. System Preferences is located in the Applications folder on your hard drive.
