The National Security Agency has
developed configuration guides for
securing Apple Mac OS X 10.4 "Tiger" and 10.5 "Leopard". The
recommendations in these guides may exceed the needs of most Mac users,
but these guides are good resources
to begin understanding Mac security.
As stated in the guides, do not carry out any of the changes
recommended in the document before examining them on a test system. Also,
many of the changes recommended in these documents are complex, so
deviation from those instructions could lead to system damage.
