If you have received an e-mail message purporting to come from:

  • admin@wam.umd.edu
  • admin@glue.umd.edu
  • admin@coursemail.umd.edu
  • admin@listserv.umd.edu
  • admin@umd.edu

or admin@ any other University e-mail system, please delete it and disregard the message. This e-mail is a hoax. Additionally, the attachments in such e-mails contain a virus.

Any e-mail sent by the Office of Information Technology regarding matters about your account will be addressed from a person with a name.

Questions regarding who may keep a WAM or Glue account are addressed in this document. If you are in one of the categories listed, your account will remain active regardless of whether you have used it or not.
