Backup Your Important Files Regularly

There is nothing worse than losing the 20 page term paper you spent hours and hours working on because it was accidentally deleted or the disk it was stored on became corrupted or infected with a virus. The best way you can protect your hard work is to make sure that it is saved in several different storage locations so that if you lose one copy, you still have additional copies to work with.

There are many different places and ways to save your important files at the University of Maryland, College Park; to floppy disks, to a zip disk, to an Internet Storage Service, and / or to your WAM account.
