MDQS Quick Command Reference

qstat, qdev and qmod each use the $PRINTER environment variable to determine which spooler to connect to.

command description old printadmin command
qdev
qdev list detailed device status for all devices qdev
qdev -s devicelist detailed device status for a specific device
qdev -f clear printer, flush current job flush
qdev -r clear printer, restart current job restart
qdev -d disable printer (don't allow jobs to this printer) disable
qdev -e enable printer (allow jobs to this printer) enable
qstat
qstatlist queued print jobs and device status
qstat -llist long version of queued jobs and device status qstat
qstat -q queuelist queued jobs for specific queue
qmod
qmod -k job iddelete the specified job kill
qmod -d queuedelete all the jobs for the specified queuekillall
qmod -h job idhold the job (don't let it print) hold
qmod --h job idunhold the job unhold
