Updating the Virus Definitions for Virex 7.7

Make sure that you have followed the Downloading and Installing Virex 7.7 procedures before following these instructions.

1. To automatically update your virus definition files in Virex 7.7, click on the Virex menu in the top-left corner of the desktop and select Preferences from the list.

   

2. The Preferences window will appear. If the padlock in the lower left corner of the window is locked, click it to unlock it. (You may be prompted to authenticate as an Admin user.)

3. Place a check next to Automatically check for virus definition updates.

4. Click the padlock again to lock it and then close the Preferences window.

5. Virex will now automatically check for updates.
