Login ID's on the Multiple Virtual Storage (MVS) system consist of a three-letter
department code followed by 3 initials. If Jane H. Doe
works for the Office of Information Technology (OIT), her login ID
would then be OITJHD, if available.
This could be different, depending on availability.
The appropriate security
administrator will contact you with your "Official" University of Maryland (UM) MVS Userid and
password. The initial password is usually the first
eight digits of your University ID (U ID).
