If you would like for someone else to be able to act on your behalf, for
instance, setting up meetings for you and answering meeting proposals sent
to you by others, you need to set that person up as your Designate (in other
products, you may have known this as Proxy). This is commonly done if you
have an administrative assistant or to provide your manager agenda rights.
You can have as many Designates as you like.
Choosing your Designates
(Note:To see the directions for choosing designates using
the CorporateTime Web interface, see this
instruction page).
Using the Mac CorporateTime client, choose Options>Access
Rights. You are presented with the Access Rights settings dialog.
If the name of the designee does not appear in the people list, type the
name in the search box and click the green arrow icon. This will either add
the name to the list or provide a selection group from which you can choose
the correct name.
With the name added to the people list, select it. You can now click on the
radio buttons appropriate to the type of rights you wish to grant. The client
has built in help to assist you in understanding what each right means; move
your cursor over a radio button and contextual information will appear to
explain what the setting does.
In the above example, Ann Onymity is permitted to see and change any
Agenda meeting, event or notice that is defined as Normal, Confidential or
Public. In addition, she can also see and change those similarily defined
Tasks. She has no access to any item defined as Personal.
Once you've completed selecting the access settings, click the
OK button. Each individual in the people list can be
configured with whichever combination of rights you wish. Careful
consideration of each person's need to access your Agenda will make your
use of CorporateTime easier and more valuable.
