Faculty, staff, and students affiliated with the University of
Maryland, College Park (UMCP) have an @umd.edu e-mail address available
for their use.
This address is not an e-mail account such as WAM or Glue;
rather, it is an alias that will deliver e-mail to an e-mail
account.
How can I find out what my @umd.edu address is?
If you know your Directory ID,
then, that is your @umd.edu address. For example, if your directory ID is
xxx, your alias address is xxx@umd.edu.
If you do not know your Directory ID, go to Identity
Verification page to create it.
Where will e-mail sent to the @umd.edu alias be delivered?
Use the
Identity Verification page to look up your
University Directory information. The mail
forwarding information is displayed on that page.
How do I change or correct that forwarding address?
Students: Change your e-mail address in
Testudo.
Faculty and Staff: Change your e-mail address in the Personal Data page in the Payroll and Human Resources section of ARES.
