Changing Your ADVISE Password

To perform administrative tasks, such as manually adding students to your selection lists or changing your password, you have to access the Administration Functions menu from the main College Advisor Service System (ADVISE) menu by pressing the letter <a>. You will then see the following screen:
                                     ADVISE   
                                                            bmgt.SEL: 0 [n]



                            Administrative Functions

                    l -> Manipulate Lists
                    c -> Change Major/College
                    a -> Add U ID to Selection List Manually
                    o -> Exit to Operating System
                    p -> Change ADVISE Password
                    ? -> Help
                    q -> exit to Main Menu
                       
                       Enter Selection [_] 
		

Changing your ADVISE Password

To change your password, press the letter <p> and ADVISE will prompt you for a new password. Type in your desired password. You will not be able to see what you are typing. ADVISE will prompt you to re-enter your new password for verification. Finally, ADVISE will prompt you to type in your old password. Your password should be updated immediately.

NOTE: This will NOT change the initial DEANS password. To change that password, access the utilities option by pressing the letter u option in the DEANS Main Menu and follow the Password Change instructions.
