Making Existing Folders Visible in Outlook Express 5

You may be migrating from another email client such as SIMEON to Outlook Express. Any folders that were previously made for an IMAP account can be made visible in a few steps. POP account folders should be visible from the first time that you configure Outlook Express

To make IMAP folders visible:

  1. Click on the IMAP account that you are interested in.
  2. The section of the window where messages are displayed changes.

  3. Click on the button labeled IMAP Folders.

  4. The Show/Hide IMAP Folders window appears. On the left side you see the available IMAP accounts that are set up (the active one is highlighted). In the middle you see all the folders inside the account.
  5. The folders that have the   Visible Foldericon beside the are the folders that are currently visible.
  6. To make the folder visible, click on it then click on the button labeled Show, then click the OK button.

  7. The folder should now appear listed along with the other visible folders in the main window.
