The following steps will guide you through the brief process of installing the WebDAV client for Windows Vista.
Windows Vista has a builtin WebDAV client. To access it do the following:
- Open Computer
- Near the top of the window, click Map network drive

- Click on the link Connect to a Web site that you can use to store your documents
and pictures
- This will start the Add Network Location Wizard
- Click Next
- At the query Where do you want to create this network location? select
Choose a custom network location
- Click Next and enter the URL for the WebDAV server:
- For your home folder: https://dav.terpconnect.umd.edu/homes/<your Directory ID>
- For your pub folder: https://dav.terpconnect.umd.edu/pub/<your Directory ID>
- Example: https://dav.terpconnect.umd.edu/homes/joanyuser

- Note: The security certificate warnings shown below may not appear on your screen.
If one appears it is a warning that you are connecting to a site you have not visited before and
the security certificate for that page is not in your browser. Once you connect the certificate will
automatically download.

- Enter your Directory ID and password in the username and password fields
- Click OK
