How To Set Up A Mac OS X 10.5 Dorm Ethernet Connection

1. Click on the Apple menu in the top-left corner of the screen and select System Preferences.

   

2. Click on the Network icon located on the Internet & Network section.

   

3. Select Built-in Ethernet from the column on the left side of the window after the Network window opens.
4. Click on the drop-down menu next to Configure: and select Using DHCP.
5. Type 128.8.74.2 or 128.8.76.2 in the DNS Server: box
6. Type umd.edu in the Search Domains: box
7. Click on the Apply button.
