In our continuing effort to provide superior support to the University of
Maryland community, the Office of Information Technology (OIT)
Help Desk and the Information Technology (IT) Library joined forces
on March 15, 2002. This merger allowed the OIT Help Desk to intensify its
"Customer First" focus. The OIT Help Desk will continue to provide the
following services:
-Hardware Rental Program
-Payment for Software Licensing purchases.
-Documentation Distribution
-Research Resources
-Online Training Resources
We're creating a more efficient and robust operation to provide an enhanced
support environment. We're excited about the changes and we look forward
to supporting your technology needs. We will allocate most of our technical book
collection to the University Library system. Therefore, we will no longer
provide book and tutorial check-out services.
