Graduate students are considered to be on active status if
they have registered for at least their first semester of
graduate work and have not been removed from the Graduate
program for any of the following reasons:
-
Getting a degree (this represents completion of the
particular program -- e.g., Masters
program -- requiring a re-registration if desiring to
continue academic work in another program).
-
Over staying the 5-year grace period without getting an
extension.
-
Resigning or self-cancellation.
-
Dismissal for academic problems.
